Backpack Featuring CORDURA® Fabric Wins Brazil's Go Outside Magazine's Best Equipment of the Year Award

Mountaineer 40 + 5L Recognized for Exceptional Comfort, Versatility and Durability

WICHITA, Kan. - March 11, 2009 - INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand fabric is part of yet another award-winning outdoor product.  Brazil’s edition of Go Outside magazine recently named the CURTLO Mountaineer pack, manufactured with CORDURA® fabric throughout the body, a ‘Best Equipment of the Year’ product in the backpack category.  

The ‘Best Equipment of the Year’ awards are part of Go Outside’s 2008 Guide to Equipment. Seasoned outdoor enthusiasts chosen by the magazine used the selected gear in real life conditions. Their responses were scored on a one-to-10 scale that rates product materials, design and cost-benefit characteristics. Rodrigo Raineri, the mountain climber who reached the summit of Mount Everest in 2008, was the evaluator of Mountaineer 40 + 5L.
